Trump Criticizes Omar at Rally After Search of Her Home

Trump criticized Ilhan Omar at a rally, while the Minnesota congresswoman accused his administration of intimidation following a search of her home.

Why it matters

The clash puts Trump’s criticism of Omar alongside her allegation that the search was part of an intimidation campaign.

★Trump called Somalia, Omar’s birthplace, “one of the worst countries on the planet.”
★Omar said she would “not be silenced” after a search of her Washington home.
★Separately, a federal judge temporarily halted taxpayer-funded television ads promoting Trump ahead of the November midterms.
